Graduation Rate

The current graduation rate for the Class of 2010 is 80%.


NCLEX Pass Rate 

The state licensure examination for registered nurses is the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). The NCLEX-RN test results for the three most recent graduating classes from Mountainside Hospital School of Nursing are:

  • Class of 2008 – 81%
  • Class of 2009 – 94%
  • Class of 2010 – 86%
  • Class of 2011 – Pending

Job Placement 

Initial employment for those graduates seeking employment in nursing within six months of graduation for the classes of 2008, 2009, and 2010 was 96%. Mountainside graduates find positions in a wide variety of health care settings.

Program Satisfaction

Upon completion of the program, all students participate in an exit interview and complete an exit questionnaire to evaluate their educational experience. One hundred percent (100%) of graduates are very satisfied with the nursing program and believe that curriculum objectives are achieved.

The School of Nursing provides programs on safety and security annually. Policies and procedures dealing with safety and security are disseminated annually to all students and employees of Mountainside Hospital School of Nursing. 


Drug/Alcohol Abuse Prevention Information 

Mountainside Hospital School of Nursing prohibits the following and will discipline or dismiss a student, faculty member, or other staff for (a) use, possession, distribution or sale of illegal drugs or unauthorized controlled substances or alcohol on school property, (b) being under the influence of unauthorized controlled substances or alcohol on school premises or when on school related business. A drug free awareness program is conducted annually; information about health risks of drug/alcohol abuse, policies regarding testing, use or abuse of drugs and/or alcohol, and disciplinary action is provided to all School of Nursing students.  Additional information may be found in the Student Guidebook.
